Media release: 2023 WA Mental Health Week
WA Mental Health Week will commence on Friday 6 October 2023 in Esperance, followed by over fifty events across Western Australia between 7 – 14 October 2023 aligned to the theme Mind, Body, and Environment. Most of the activities will bring communities together to try new activities while learning about mental health in a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Lived Experience Speaker Training project helps to build the peer workforce
In December 2022, WAAMH concluded its first round of the m, which proved to be a great success. The project ran across five months with about 30 participants, of which most shared their final presentations to an audience of WAAMH staff and guests.

WAAMH wrote a joint submission to the inquiry with the WA Network and other Drug Agencies and both peak bodies gave evidence to the Education and Health Standing Committee in a public hearing.
