WA Mental Health Award winners celebrated on World Mental Health Day

  • The annual awards celebrate individuals, initiatives and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to mental health in Western Australia. 

As communities across the globe mark World Mental Health Day, the winners of the 2025 WA Mental Health Awards have been announced at a gala celebration.

From a powerful podcast shining a spotlight on birth trauma, to the world’s most prolific researcher of non-suicidal self-injury, this year’s honourees left a lasting impression on those in attendance.

Western Australian Association for Mental Health CEO, Taryn Harvey, said World Mental Health Day was a fitting occasion to celebrate.

“I can’t think of a better way to spend World Mental Health Day, than celebrating the collective achievements of our outstanding award winners, overlooking the iconic Swan River,” Ms Harvey said.

“The WA Mental Health Awards continue to highlight the talent and ingenuity we have within our state, as well as the impact we can all have on mental health and wellbeing.

“This year is no different – congratulations once again to all of the winners and finalists of the 2025 WA Mental Health Awards.”

Each year, the awards celebrate individuals, initiatives and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to mental health in Western Australia.

The nine award categories cover the themes of lived experience, innovation, prevention, education and inclusion.
