    Let's Act Up! is an inclusive and collaborative educational experience that explores our current mental health legislation and standards through creative activities and participative games.

    Suitable for mental health sector workers

    You will be amazed by how much fun you can have while deepening your understanding of key concepts like recovery oriented practice, duty of care and dignity of risk.  

    While building crucial legal knowledge applicable to professional mental health practice, this workshop focuses on promoting a strength based mindset, encouraging active participation and facilitating opportunities to strengthen rapport between staff members, consumers, carers, family members and other stakeholders.

    Solidly grounded in legislative requirements and promoting best practice, this four-hour workshop takes a unique participative learning approach.

    Legislation and Standards explored:

    • Mental Health Act WA 2014
    • National Practice Standards for Mental Health Workforce 2013
    • Carers Recognition Act WA 2004.


    There are two scholarship places available for consumers or carers who face financial difficulty in attending this course. Scholarship applications close 10 business days prior to course and the successful applicants will be notified five business days prior to commencement of the event.
