Becoming a recovery-orientated organisation
To become a recovery orientated organisation requires changes in culture and practice at every level of an organisation. The Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health has identified 10 challenges faced by organisations when implementing recovery:
There are many resources available to assist organisations to identify and implement the changes required, including:
- The Team Recovery Implementation Plan: a framework for creating recovery-focused services
- MHCC Organisation Builder (MOB) - Policy Resource
- Recovery Oriented Service Self-Assessment Toolkit (ROSSAT)
- 100 Ways To Support Recovery. A guide for mental health professionals
- Scottish Recovery Indicator
A detailed list of tools is also provided in chapter 5 of the National framework for recovery-oriented mental health services: guide for practitioners and providers.
Additional information can be accessed from the resources section.
