Conditions of nomination:
- All nominations must be received by 5.00pm on Wednesday 30 July.
- All nominations must reflect initiatives, projects or work that took place during the 2024 calendar year (January to December 2024).
- Nominees must be based in Western Australia, and applications must be based on initiatives and work that supported mental health in WA.
- It is free to submit a nomination.
- Multiple nominations are accepted.
- Self-nominations are welcome in the following categories; Innovation for Service Delivery; Prevention or Promotion; Diversity & Inclusion; Mental Health Education; Mentally Healthy Workplace; and News & Media.
- If you are nominating an individual other than yourself, you must seek their approval prior to submitting the nomination.
- If the nominee is under 18 years of age, permission must be sought from a parent or guardian prior to submitting the nomination.
- Category partners may not nominate for the category they are sponsoring, but can nominate for any other category.
- If the nomination does not adhere to the word count, it will not be submitted to the judging panel.
- All finalists are expected to attend the awards ceremony on 10 October 2025.
- WAAMH has the authority to extend the nomination deadline where appropriate.
Tips for preparing your nomination:
- Make it clear to the judges how you or your nominee go above and beyond to benefit community mental health outside of normal duties, work tasks, volunteering or advocacy.
- Use real examples that can be easily understood by the judges.
- Avoid using acronyms or terminology that the judges may not understand.
- The nomination form must be completed in one sitting – it cannot be saved and exited. We recommend you write answers in a Word document and enter the answers into the form when you are ready to submit.
- Before submitting, check your nomination form for errors, paying particular attention to contact details.
- When uploading supporting documents, please ensure the information is relevant to the application.
- All finalists and winners will be judged on merit.
