Professional Lived Experience Speaking

When people with lived experience share their stories confidently and purposefully, they have the power to influence attitudes and create meaningful change.
This is a crucial part of raising awareness and reducing the stigma of mental ill-health and recovery.
We’re proud to be developing training to support people with lived experience to create ethical, sustainable and impactful public presentations for use in advocacy or training.
Designed for people with lived experience, by people with Lived Experience, our training will support people to:
- refine their narratives,
- build presentation skills,
- develop robust self-care strategies for before, during and after professional speaking events.
The course will take a strengths-based approach to storytelling, and groups will be limited to ten participants only, to create a safe training environment where personalised support can be made available.
