About this role

  • Fixed term, part-time contract (June 30 2025) with possibility of extension
  • 0.6FTE (22.8 hours per week) working across Monday to Friday

Join WAAMH as an Administration Support Officer and play a pivotal role in our Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Sector Development functions. In this dynamic position, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, managing and enhancing systems for policy papers and resources. Your skills in proofreading and editing will ensure our documents meet the highest standards, while your note-taking and consolidation from consultation events will keep our projects on track.

You'll take charge of managing IPS events and workshops on our Arlo platform, coordinating logistics from room setups to catering, and handling travel bookings for our team. Additionally, you'll oversee our social media presence and take on a variety of ad-hoc tasks that keep things interesting and varied.

This position works under the direction of the IPS Lead to support WAAMH's Individual Placement and Support functions. It is responsible for evaluating, reviewing, customising and developing training courseware and resources for semester and contract training.

Selection Criteria to be addressed

Outline experience and examples where you have demonstrated:

  • Extensive knowledge of administrative & document management processes
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Suite of software and SharePoint
  • Highly effective organisational skills with an ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Experience working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to proof read and format reports
  • Experience in minute taking
  • Experience in coordinating and administrating travel

About You

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

Essential:
  • Considerable and demonstrated experience in an administration role
  • A creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
  • Highly effective time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure while meeting strict and competing deadlines
  • Capacity to work both independently and constructively as part of a team to meet shared objectives
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative
  • Hold a current National Police Certificate
Desirable:
  • Experience with using CRM software
  • Lived experience of mental health issues and recovery as a consumer, carer or family member
  • A culturally and/or gender and sexuality diverse background
