    National Reconciliation Week

    Every year NRW commemorates two important milestones in Australia's reconciliation journey: the 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision. It is also an opportunity for everyone to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture.

    NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week is an Australia-wide celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is an opportunity for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians to get involved in activities and to support their local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

    WA Mental Health Week 2020

    WA Mental Health Week is coordinated by the WA Association for Mental Health,with support from the Mental Health Commission. In 2020, it will be from 10-17 October, when hopefully we can all reconnect socially and physically again, rejoice, recover and reflect on one of the biggest years our health system and economy has ever faced in  most of our lifetimes. Stay safe everyone, look out for others and reach out for help if you are feeling overwhelmed. Stay in touch on the phone with loved ones and let's re-connect properly again by October.

    World Mental Health Day

    World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.

    The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.

    Join your community mental health peak body, the Western Australian Association for Mental Health alongside  East Metropolitan Health Service and WA Country Health Service as we co-host the 30th TheMHS Conference in Perth in 2020, with TheMHS Network. The theme will be "Balancing the System".
