WAAMH welcomes new Minister for Mental Health, the Hon. Amber-Jade Sanderson

The Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH) is pleased to welcome the Hon. Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson MLA to the Mental Health portfolio.

WAAMH president Kerry Hawkins said this was great news for the WA mental health sector.

“We believe that Minister Sanderson will be a great addition to our sector, bringing a fresh perspective and new ideas,” Ms Hawkins said.

“We look forward to working with her to tackle the challenges that are facing our sector together and make real, positive, long-term changes in Western Australia.

“We’d like to thank Minister Stephen Dawson for his enthusiasm in the portfolio and commitment to transformation, particularly in relation to our young people.”

Minister Sanderson has also been announced as the new Health Minister.

She holds the State seat for Morley and has been in parliament for eight years and previously held the Environment, Climate Action and Commerce portfolios.
