The WA Mental Health Awards return in 2026, with nominations now open.

The annual awards – celebrated around World Mental Health Day in October each year – recognise outstanding contributions and inspirational impacts on mental health in WA.

This year, there are eight award categories for individuals, organisations and community initiatives:

  • Minister’s Mental Health Award
  • Lived Experience Impact Award
  • Innovation in Service Delivery Award
  • Prevention or Promotion Award
  • Diversity & Inclusion Award
  • Mentally Healthy Employee or Volunteer Award
  • Mentally Healthy Education Award
  • Mentally Healthy Workplace Award

WAAMH CEO, Taryn Harvey, said the awards were a unique opportunity for the mental health sector, government stakeholders, and Western Australians with lived experience to come together in celebration.

“The WA Mental Health Awards shine a spotlight on the dedicated people across our state who work tirelessly to support recovery, champion inclusion, reduce stigma and create positive change,” Ms Harvey said.

“I encourage everyone to help us acknowledge and honour these individuals, organisations and initiatives by submitting a nomination.”

Winners will be announced at a presentation event on Friday 9 October, during WA Mental Health Week.

Nominations will close at 5.00pm on Friday 14 August.
