Grant recipients receive a share of $70,000 for WA Mental Health Week
Wednesday 27 August 2025
- The 2025 WA Mental Health Week community grant recipients have today been announced.
- Grants have been awarded for events, equipment or education in the lead up to, or during, WA Mental Health Week.
- The grants are made possible thanks to the generous support of Lotterywest.
The Western Australian Association for Mental Health has today awarded $70,000 worth of funding to more than 70 not-for-profit organisations across the state, through the 2025 WA Mental Health Week community grants program.
The grants are awarded for three categories – events, equipment and education – helping communities to host their own Mental Health Week events, purchase equipment that will have a positive impact on community mental health, or attend free mental health training through the association.
A full list of the 2025 grant recipients can be found below.
The grants are made possible thanks to the generous support of Lotterywest, one of the Principal Partners of WA Mental Health Week this year.
WA Mental Health Week brings the community together each year to celebrate mental health and wellbeing. This year, it will run from 4 to 11 October, incorporating World Mental Health Day on 10 October.
Since 1967 the event has been raising awareness of, and reducing the stigma associated with, mental ill-health and recovery from mental health challenges.
The Mad Hatter Tea Party in Albany will launch WA Mental Health Week this year, while the WA Mental Health Awards will officially close the proceedings.
