Services Provided

Counselling

Living Proud is one of five state partner organisations for QLife, a national counselling and referral service for LGBTIQ people. The service provides nation-wide, early intervention, peer supported telephone and web based services to diverse people of all ages experiencing poor mental health, psychological distress, social isolation, discrimination, experiences of being misgendered and/or other social determinants that impact on their health and wellbeing.

The QLife service is for LGBTIQ people and their families and friends, as well as mainstream service providers who need information or referrals for clients.

Education, Employment & Training

Opening Closets half-day and full-day training aims to share information and develop skills for mental health professionals working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) populations. SafeTALK is a half-day suicide alertness workshop that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to recognise a person seeking help and take action by connecting them with life-saving intervention resources.
