Services Provided
Counselling
ORS provides psychological counselling services for a wide range of needs under the Medicare Scheme which is known as the Better Access scheme. In order to access this service you need to visit a GP who will assess whether you have a mental disorder and whether the preparation of a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan is appropriate for you, given your health care needs and circumstances.

Mutual Support and Self Help
The Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs) program is a government-funded initiative that offers personalised support to people whose lives have been severely impacted as a result of mental illness. As a PHaMs Employment program provider in WA and NSW, we offer employment support to participants wanting to engage in work. Our focus is to put participants at the centre of their recovery journey.
Who it's forYou may be eligible for PHaMs if you are 16 years or over, are in receipt of or are eligible for income support, and are finding your ability to live independently and manage daily life is severely limited as a result of mental illness. You don’t need to have a formal diagnosis or doctor’s referral to apply. When we first speak with you, we will ask some questions about how your life is affected by mental illness to determine whether you are eligible.
