We provide mutual support and self-help by supplying the community with group based services, which consist of individuals with common experiences, led by one, or more consumer peers.

Services Provided

Mutual Support and Self Help

Even Keel provides mutual support and self-help by supplying the community with group based services, which consist of individuals with common experiences and interests, led by one, or more consumer peers. Even Keel offers personalised support/assistance either in person or over the telephone on a one to one basis.

Family & Carer Support

Even Keel supply the opportunity for people to build & sustain personal wellbeing. With personal wellbeing comes optimism for the future including a sense empowerment, reconnection of common relationships with families and friends, to extend existing networks & encourage communities to accept people for who they are.

Individual Advocacy

Our staff encourage people to identify their needs, goals, aspirations, strengths and resources to help identify the type and level of supports that they are seeking. The strategies that individuals have in place and how we as an organisation can help provide directly or indirectly the required type and level of support that the individual requires.

Mental Health Promotion

Even Keel promotes the awareness of mental health issues, amongst the community. Staff lecture at Curtin University for the OT and Psychology students. Addressing reducing stigma within and education of the wider community, through personal accounts of having a bipolar disorder diagnoses & the impact of how they felt.

Mental Illness Prevention

We are committed to providing the individuals with support programs to help develop skills and abilities, to maximise their capacity to live in the community. The programs are designed to develop and maintain skills required for daily living, social interaction and increase their participation within the community.
