Services Provided

Counselling

Some of the issues Anglicare's counsellors can help with include: suicide bereavement, self-confidence and self-esteem, anger regulation, depression and feeling depressed, grief and loss, family and domestic violence sexual, emotional and physical abuse, parenting, work place issues such as bullying, and separating or divorcing couples.

Who it's for

People bereaved by suicide who live in the metropolitan or regional area and adults who need counseling.

Staffed Residential Services

Anglicare's Y-shac provides shared emergency accommodation in two locations and 24 hour support from youth workers, support for young people to get back on their feet, independent living activities, goal setting and future planning, youth recreational activities, and a drug education program.

Who it's for

Y-Shac assists 15-20 year old young people who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.

Family & Carer Support

The Kalgoorlie Accommodation Support Service provides access to Department of Housing accommodation for a period of 12 months to women with or without children, who are homeless or escaping family domestic violence.

Who it's for

The service is for single women, with or without children, who are victims of domestic violence and, as a result, are either homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. People who use this service must be a permanent resident of Australia.

Individual Advocacy

Anglicare's Street Connect youth workers provide a daily outreach presence via their outreach bus). They meet with young people on the streets, forming positive working relationships and providing informal counseling, referral to other helpful services, advocacy, crisis intervention and follow-up support.

Who it's for

Street Connect assists, supports and educates 15-25 year old homeless and street-present young people in the Perth Inner City area.

Relationship Education seminars are suitable for anyone who wishes to enhance a relationship in their life and professional development participation varies depending on the course.
