If you work in a community mental health organisation, we are offering inhouse reviews, training & development for your workforce and practice, if you apply before 4 October 2021.
WAAMH is offering a complimentary tailored Organisational Development Program with targeted training, thanks to funding from the Mental Health Commission.
An experienced practice consultant will work with your organisation to identify capacity building needs to meet your goals and essential sector skills, while facilitating practice conversations, where real service scenarios can be explored.
A learning and development program will be designed and may comprise one or a combination of short training sessions within WAAMH's scope, practice discussions, and post delivery support.

We bring significant practice and sector leadership experience to our work and can offer the following services:
Training Needs Analysis: Working with you to identify the workforce development activities that support your workers to be their best. Providing information on training that addresses organisational needs.
Customised short training sessions: Providing introductions, refreshers and overviews of areas of practice that are particularly relevant to your team. These training sessions offer a ‘taster’ for, and compliment, but do not replace more in-depth training.
Group Practice Discussions: Providing a skilled and experienced mental health practitioner to guide your team’s discussions around areas of practice. The aim of these discussions is to draw on the collective wisdom of the group whilst providing guidance and facilitation to ensure new perspectives are explored and incorporated into practice.
Practice Consultancy: Offering the opportunity to discuss ‘thorny issues’. This is particularly aimed at service managers and coordinators who need a confidential space to consider how to address practice issues that arise.
