Services Provided

Individual Advocacy

Our Advocacy Service assists people with problems in the health system, it a free service. Our Advocates are experienced in consumer rights, knowledge of the health system and consumer responsibilities, however they are not trained in medicine or law. The knowledge gained in our advocacy services assists with our recommendations on health service improvements.

Who it's for

The service is available to all WA health consumers. The HCC is keenly aware of the difficulties facing people in remote locations and regions outside the metropolitan area. Patients in rural and remote areas are encouraged to use our service by calling the country free-call number, 1800-620-780.

Service Coordination

The Aboriginal Advocacy Program supports Aboriginal consumers experiencing problems in the health system through - individual advocacy, community forums, working with health services to evaluate and identify barriers and training in advocacy; consumer engagement; and complaints management for service providers and consumers in WA.
