Safe Haven Cafes - an opportunity to co-design

27 February

04:00 - 08:00PM

Community Event

The Mental Health Commission is holding relaxed workshops to assist the development of a Safe Haven Café near Royal Perth Hospital, which will offer an alternative, peer-supported option to people who may otherwise attend emergency departments after hours with mental health issues.

The Mental Health Commission invites you to participate in designing Safe Haven Cafés for Western Australia.

Safe Haven Cafés provide peer based, recovery orientated services for people with mental health, alcohol and other drug issues requiring urgent assistance and support, but who do not require intensive clinical support.

The aim of a Safe Haven Café is to offer an alternative option to people who may otherwise attend emergency departments after hours when other supports are closed.

These workshops will assist with the development of a Safe Haven Café near Royal Perth
Hospital.

This event includes Morning Tea in the 9am – 1pm group and a  light supper at the 4-8pm group.
