Forum Featured Event

The Western Australian Association for Mental Health has secured a unique opportunity to meet directly with Gerry Naughtin, Strategic Adviser Mental Health to the National Disability Insurance Agency.

Gerry will present a briefing on the Disability Reform Council’s (DRC) current focus on psychosocial disability, in recognition that the scheme isn’t meeting people’s needs.

Registrations are essential.

The DRC has approved targeted projects on:

  • Improving access to the NDIS including effective engagement and outreach
  • Improving the interface between the NDIS and the mental health system
  • Developing a Psychosocial Disability Recovery Framework, focused on recovery and supporting episodic needs
  • Whether different market settings are needed for providers to offer people safe, high quality and sustainable NDIS supports.

The event will be held in the auditorium at the Bendat Centre, with a light morning tea provided.

Parking is available onsite at the Bendat Centre, and the closest station is Glendalough.
